Spar is launching a new impulse range of popcorn including sweet & salted (30g) and salted (20g) flavours (rrp 49p).
An increase in popularity has seen the own label market grow by 14% in only one year, in particular the impulse popcorn market has seen growth of 39% (Nielsen Scantrack Data to 52WE 11.04.16. YA).
Cath McIlwham, Spar UK head of brand, said: “The trend for alternative snack choices is growing and we are delighted to respond to this by launching these two new varieties to the market.
“Salted and Sweet & Salted are two of the top selling flavours in the market place. We are providing our shoppers with not just a very tasty snack, but also a healthier option compared to other snacks and impulse purchases.”
These new popcorn lines are the latest step taken by Spar to keep adapting to customers’ changing needs.
The popcorn bags will be available in Spar stores from today (20 February).
