Strathmore Water has been announced as the official sponsor for the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
After supplying the 2017 Championships, the company has once again been chosen to sponsor the sporting event. More than 60,000 bottles of water will be supplied by the AG Barr brand.
Hundreds of athletes from 150 countries are expected to take part in the 2018 Championships in Birmingham. Many volunteers and officials are being recruited to work on the four day event, which will be held at Arena Birmingham in March next year.
Strathmore Water will be made available for athletes, officials and volunteers at the official venue and at other key areas, including the Birmingham High Performance Centre, the training venue for the Championships, and in all official event hotels.
Joan Durose, IAAF World Indoor Championships director, said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with Strathmore as the supplier of bottled water. It is vital for the world-class athletes competing at the Championships and for all those working hard behind the scenes to deliver a successful event, to have easy access to water to stay hydrated throughout this major sports event.”
Adrian Troy, marketing director at AG Bar, said: “The IAAF World Championships in London was a phenomenal event to be a part of and we’re delighted to be able to strengthen our relationship with the IAAF by becoming the national water supplier of the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham.
“Our commitment to hydrate the world’s best athletes, volunteers and thousands of passionate spectators aligns with the IAAF’s values and ambition to deliver another highly successful event. It is also another fantastic opportunity to grow Strathmore’s profile and strengthen its position as the water of world-class athletics.”
