With summer on its way, British sweet manufacturer Swizzels has unveiled Squashies Strawberry & Cream.
Available in 120g bags in both pricemarked and non pricemarked packs (RRP: £1.15), packs are targeting both self treat and sharing missions.
The Squashies range has continued to grow in popularity among consumers, even amidst economic challenges, with the brand now worth £52.5 (Circana).
Clare Newton, trade marketing manager at Swizzels, says: “Our mouth-watering Squashies Strawberry & Cream flavour reflects our dedication to creating exciting new taste sensations for our consumers. Our newest launch is sure to become a must-have sugar confectionery product, combining moreish Squashies with the classic British combo of Strawberry & Cream. Plus, the timing couldn’t be sweeter – launching just in time for National Strawberries & Cream Day on May 21st.
“The latest addition to our best-selling hanging bag brand is a direct result of the outstanding success our retailers have had with our current range of Squashies, coupled with the fantastic feedback from our consumer research.”
Swizzels claims that Squashies is the number one sugar hanging bag brand in the total market, according to the latest Circana firgures.
Last year, to support the continued success of Squashies, Swizzels unveiled an additional factory in Cheshire, to meet growing demand and opportunities for product development long into the future.
