Varta has donated almost £90,000 of batteries to Christmas charity toy campaign, Key 103 Cash for Kids.

The batteries manufacturer donated 100,000 batteries to Mike and Chelsea’s Mission Christmas appeal, which aims to support disadvantaged children in the North West.

Key 103 Cash for Kids hopes to raise £1m worth of toys to brighten up the lives of 150,000 Manchester children who are not expecting a visit from Santa this year.

Anthony Sewart, UK sales and marketing director, said: “The Varta batteries will ensure that the toys and games donated through the campaign are ready to use on Christmas Day, ensuring there is no power related disappointment.”
