Time is running out for retailers to enter hard-working sales staff into the 2016 Sales Assistant of the Year Awards.

Run by Convenience Store, the awards are a proven way of rewarding and invigorating much-deserving employees.

Shopfloor staff, checkout operators and supervisors are eligible to enter one of the five following categories: The Independent sector, the Multiple sector, the Multiple Symbol sector, the Co-operative sector and the Forecourt sector.

The overall winner will receive £1,000 while each category winner will get £500.

An additional £250 will also go to the Community Hero. The manager who nominated the overall winner will also receive £250.

The deadline for entries is 19 August.

The Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 8 November at The Dorchester in London.
