Shoppers at a Spar forecourt near Exeter in Devon are more likely to vote Labour in the General Election – according to sales of Fidget Spinners in store.
The Winning Post store, owned by the Chartman Group, has been using red and blue variants of the popular toys to create its own ‘Spinometer’ to forecast Labour and Conservative votes on 8 June.
The store has found it difficult sourcing Fidget Spinners, but it received a delivery last Friday, and of the 90 sold over the weekend, 47 were Labour red and 43 were Tory blue.
Director Clive Sheppard said: “It looks as though Jeremy [Corbyn] is very much at home in the playground, whereas perhaps Theresa [May] needs to get out there a bit more.”
