Spar’s Shop & Win campaign has returned for the summer with new digital innovation and bigger prizes.
The campaign is running alongside Spar’s new 60th anniversary in-store deals event and is offering customers the chance to win £60,000 worth of prizes, as well as a £10,000 grand prize.
It will tie in with Spar’s 60th anniversary campaign, which runs from 15 June until 16 August, and will see nine weeks of deals run on brands to help drive sales and footfall into stores.
Shop & Win will include two elements: the first is an interactive ‘Virtual Scratch Card’, which offers shoppers instant prizes by uploading an image of their receipt, and then scratching and matching three diamond symbols.
The second key element is the opportunity for a customer to win £10,000, Spar’s biggest ever cash prize draw. The more times shoppers shop in Spar, the more chances they will be offered to enter the grand prize via their own personal online scoreboard.
The 2017 campaign also includes the Spar Sixty Selfie competition, in which Shop & Win winners are also in with the chance to win a further £60 every day by taking a selfie with their winning product and uploading it onto Facebook.
Laura McNally, Spar UK marketing controller, said: “We are extremely proud of the success of our Shop & Win campaign, which is down to the fantastic support we’ve had for it from our retailers. We’re really excited about the latest innovations we’re launching in this year’s activity.
“Since its launch in 2014, Shop & Win has generated more than 500,000 entries, brought in £3m in incremental sales and won 11 industry awards.
“Last year, Shop & Win supported our Summer of Sport campaign and achieved £1.5m worth of sales, more than 177,000 entries, a higher than average redemption rate of 32%,” she said.
“This year’s event will work extremely well with our 60th anniversary activity to be another great footfall driver for our retailers.”
