A service station and Co-op store has launched at Platts Roundabout in Billingshurst, forming part of a new franchise agreement between the convenience retailer and petrol forecourt business, EG On The Move.
Known as Platts Corner Services, the 24-hour forecourt and store includes electric vehicle charging, an ATM and Starbucks self-serving coffee machine alongside a focus on fresh, chilled and healthy produce, meal ideas and everyday essentials, prepared sandwiches and food-to-go, Fairtrade products and more.
Adam Parfitt, Co-op store manager, said: “We’ve had a great response, the services and store look fantastic, and it’s very exciting to be opening a store which combines Co-op’s convenience expertise with EG On The Move’s petrol forecourt business. Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life and we’ve worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer.”

Forming part of Co-op’s wider franchise growth plans, the new store is one of seven across the UK confirmed as part of the initial trial with EG On The Move, with the potential to expand in future.
