Thresher Group plans to grab a larger slice of the convenience market by expanding the range of groceries in The Local outlets.
More than 200 new lines at "accessible" prices will be introduced over the coming months. The specialist drinks retailer also revealed plans to open a further 100 The Local stores in the next four years.
The move is part of a programme to transform the group's retail offering, Thresher Group CEO Yvonne Rankin said. She also revealed an overhaul of its promotional structure - scrapping '3 for 2' wine offers in favour of lower single bottle prices.
It also plans to close under- performing or badly positioned stores across the business.
