Home Secretary Theresa May MP officially opened a new Londis store in Maidenhead on December 19.
The Londis Kings Street store is joint-managed by Gurchan Singh, who has been running a store at the site for seven years, and his business partners Mohan Malhotra and Partheeban Sinnathaurai.
The new 1,000 sq ft Londis is open seven days a week from 7.30am until 11pm and includes coffee-to-go, breakfast and lunch to go options including rollover hot dogs, and a wide range of everyday essentials. The store will also offer a range of fireworks all year-round and a Western Union counter along with a Vaping section.
The Home Secretary cut the store’s ribbon at opening celebrations while a Johnny Depp look-alike dressed as ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ from Pirates of the Caribbean was also on-hand to entertain guests.
Gurchan Singh said: “I am really excited about opening the doors of our new Londis Kings Street, we’re proud of the store and we’re confident our customers will enjoy shopping with us here. We’re all excited about our new venture and it was a real honour to have Home Secretary Theresa May MP here to help us with the opening.”
John Pattison Londis brand director said: “Londis Kings Street is a fantastic new store and it’s great to see Gurchan Singh and his team joining the Londis family. It’s a pleasure to be working with them and I’m sure they will make this store a huge success.”
