The DCS Group has appointed Carl Palmer as its new chief operating officer.
Palmer will be responsible for overseeing all group operations both in the DCS head office and distribution centre in Banbury, and DCS Manufacturing based in Redditch in Worcestershire.
The company said he brings a “wealth of experience from within the FMCG sector”.
Since starting his career in operations at Unilever, he has gained a wealth of operational leadership experience across a variety of organisations, including Associated British Foods and PepsiCo, before moving to his previous role as UK Supply Chain Director at PZ Cussons.
Commenting on his new role, Palmer said: “The opportunity to contribute to the DCS legacy is truly a privilege. A successful business model has delivered 30 years of continuous growth across sales & distribution, manufacturing, co-pack and export, and this is all underpinned by an incredible team which I’m now proud to be a part of. I look forward to leading the Operations and Supply Chain Teams to delight our customers and suppliers, and for the exciting growth that lies ahead.”
The DCS Group is “delighted” to welcome Palmer to the team.
