Nisa is looking to help retailers take advantage of shopper demand for exotic flavours with a new Italian dining promotional event.
Launching into stores this week, Nisa’s Viva Italia event follows the symbol group’s Taste of the Orient promotion last month.
The event is running from now until September 9 and offers shoppers a selection of deals on Italian dishes and ingredients as well as Italian wines and beers.
Commenting on the promotion, Nisa trading controller Ian Redhead said: “We’re seeing more consumers come back from holidays wanting to recreate dishes they’ve eaten or recreate their favourite restaurant dishes at home.”
Themed POS kits have also been made available to retailers to help create in-store theatre and the campaign is being promoted on Nisa’s social media channels and consumer website.
Deals available through the promotion include Dolmio pasta sauce jars for £1, Napolina dried pasta and spaghetti for £1, Salca Italia pesto for £2 and a range of Pizza Express boxed pizzas at half price (£2.50).
Birra Moretti (660ml) is also on a mix-and-match offer (two bottles for £4) alongside a selection of other world beers including Tiger Asian lager and Staropramen lager from Prague as well as various wines, including five from the Italia collection, priced at £5.99 each.
