Parfetts is encouraging all retailers to take advantage of the sales opportunities created by The Rugby World Cup, which kicks off in France on Friday, 8 September.
According to industry data from Asahi, the 2015 Rugby World Cup held in England saw an uplift in beer sales with +4% value growth over the previous year.
To help retailers score for the start of the tournament, Parfetts has loaded its trade week with beer offers including Stella Pints at 26.1% POR, Desperado 3x330ml at 28% POR, and Carling 10x440ml at 30.7%.
Jamie Ferguson, head of marketing at Parfetts, said: “The Rugby World Cup is an incredible opportunity for our retailers. It will drive increased BWS sales, with a focus on beers. We understand the importance of chilled, ready-to-drink beers for convenience and offer a wide range at industry-leading prices.
“Over 70% of rugby fans plan to watch the games at home, so ensuring sufficient stock of popular brands is key. We have secured fantastic promotional offers on a wider range of beers, with the largest POR on Asahi at 42.5% (12x620ml).”
