Retailers warned to be vigilant over counterfeit King Charles III banknotes
Retailers have been warned to prepare for the new banknotes with the new King Charles III designs entering circulation on 5 June 2024
Banknotes featuring Queen Elizabeth II and the King will be in circulation at the same time and the new banknotes will only be printed to replace those that are worn and to meet any overall increase in demand for banknotes.
