Conrad Davies’ Spar Market store in Pwllheli, Wales, has become the first retail outlet in the country to launch the new Ridiculously Rich self-serve units from The Apprentice winner Alana Spencer.
The units - launching as part of a partnership between Spencer and Blakemore Design and Shoplifting - has been designed to showcase the Ridiculously Rich product range, which includes gooey brownies, sticky toffee flapjacks, crème brûlée and salted caramel slices, and make it easier for shoppers to pick the items they want from the shelf.
Commenting on the installation of the new self-serve display, Conrad said: “We started stocking the Ridiculously Rich range by Alana a few months ago. Her cakes went down a storm with our customers so we are excited to be the first retail outlet in the UK to install the new units.”
The Ridiculously Rich self-serve units, which measure 50cm x 55cm x 190cm, are available to lease or buy from the Ridiculously Rich by Alana website.
The company, which is backed by Lord Alan Sugar, has confirmed it is looking for more small businesses, convenience stores and forecourts to take units, as Spencer plans to roll-out 30 in-store displays with A.F. Blakemore.
