North Yorkshire Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a store owner was assaulted at a McColl’s store in York.
The incident happened at the store on Gale Lane in the town of Acomb at around 9:10pm on 14 September.
According to police, a man entered the store and assaulted a store worker. The motive or reason behind the incident is currently unknown.
The incident followed a number of recent violent incidents across the UK, including a man who injured a store worker at a store in North Yorkshire and a store owner who was injured during an armed robbery at a convenience store in Hampshire.
