Vanilla Coke is set to make a return to stores this spring.
The variant is available in 330ml cans and 500ml PET bottle for ‘immediate consumption’ and six x 330ml cans and 1.5l PET bottles for ‘future consumption’.
In the convenience channel, 330ml and 500ml variants will also be available in price-marked packs of 59p and ‘2 for £2’ respectively.
Vanilla Coke was first launched in the UK in 2003, generating £54m worth of sales in its first year and also delivered the highest volume of any flavoured cola launch ever.
According to Nick Canney, vice-president of sales & customer development at CCE, the return is a response to consumer demand. “When Vanilla Coke first hit the market in 2003, it delivered strong incremental growth among existing buyers,” he said. “We are confident that the great flavour of Vanilla Coke will help us deliver similar results this time around. There’s been huge demand from consumers for us to bring back Vanilla Coke.”
